Wiki Article

Hatchet 3 is the horror film of 2013 in the Hatchet series. It follows the ongoing adventures of Victor Crowley's adventures in Louisiana's Honey Island Swamp, as well as his brutal murderous rampage. Kane Hodder stars as Victor Crowley, Brian Quinn plays Deputy Winslow and Rileah Vanderbilt is Misty.

The film's main strength is the use of real-world special effects. In contrast to many contemporary horror films which heavily rely on CG effects, Hatchet 3 features mostly realistic makeup effects and sets, resulting in some truly horrific moments throughout the film.

The cast gives a solid performance with Kane Hodder being the most intimidating villain. The dialogue is hilarious and tongue-in cheek that it can feel like (blog post) a classic '80s horror movie. There are some funny moments that stand out in all the heart-wrenching scenes.

The budget for the film was restricted to just one million dollars. This means that many locations in the movie are repeated from previous films. A boat house is featured twice and most of it feels recycled from previous films. If you've watched Hatchet or Hatchet 2, this can sometimes make the film feel familiar.

Overall, Hatchet 3 was a excellent series. There was plenty of gory thrills and some great performances from the actors.
